Acca Kappa 1869 shaving soap cream in a bowl is a superb lathering cream. Containing all the core ingredients needed to make a fantastic cream such as glycerin, almond and coconut oil and this is one which lives up to its reputation. The very agreeable and typically Italian almond scent of Acca Kappa 1869 is one of the finest available. The lather is rich, moisturising and provides a superb cushioning guide.
It is a little hard to foam up and it takes a bit of getting used to I'm that sence. Hence why it isn't getting 5 stars. Fragrance off it is really nice and lasts 3 or so hours into the day. Even with alum and moisturiser over it. Gives a nice amount of foam though and gives good lubrication for the blade. Top class service from shaving.ie also with delivery in 2 days.
First look: 10. Nice tub, very luxurious looking cream. Fragrance :9. Nice almond fragrance. Very pleasant Lather: 7. difficult to lather up well. Not a lot of lather but adequate. Shave: 8. Did start to thicken & dry by the 3rd pass. Razor clog. 8. Easy to rinse off razor while shaving. Aftershave moisturisation: 7. Left the skin feeling well moisturised without being greasy. Overall: 8.0 Recommend? Yes. Luxurious feel and nice fragrance.
The Acca Kappa is a wonderful cream soap (Croap) that builds a robust lather. It provides excellent lubricity too. The moisturizing after you've shaven is very good.
