Excellent quality razor for more experienced user.

Switched to wet shaving at the start of 2022. Learned to lather proraso with brush etc. Overall do yourself and your face a favour and ditch the can goo and overpriced cartriges! I started with Muhle R89 that I got cheaply on Amazon to see if I will like it. It was nice razor but I found it not aggressive enough after I learned the whole DE Shaving thing. Now...the Rocca is a different machine. Much more aggressive...definitely not for the beginner shaver. If you think to start wet shaving try R89 first. If you know the basic stuff and have a good prep Rocca will rock for you. You can feel the blade...experience comparable to straight razor in barber shop but very smooth and much more forgiving. You shave by sound with it...as it sings when it cuts the stuble. Weight and craftsmanship is top notch. Definitely worth the price for such quality. 1st time I did a 3 pass shave and was shocked how smooth my face was afterwards. Alum block confirmed no irritation. I use it almost daily. I will say its closer to famous R41 than R89 in terms of aggressiveness but its smooth like R89. Shaving.ie service was excellent. They even sent some samples with some of my orders. Top notch.

Not for the beginner, but excellent razor

A light touch and a steady hand required. A brilliant razor, very efficient but will bite if you dont take care. Really well made. Knocks down 3 day stubble with 1 pass (and touchups).

Not for the beginner, but excellent razor

Very efficient and reasonably aggressive. Care required when using but when used properly gives a close comfortable shave. Really well made and great weight. Good price here too and great service (as always).

    ROCCA the best

Rocca is a typical German result. Precision, efficiency, minimal elegant design, sharpness and also smooth. What do you want more.... Mühle... Buy it absolutely

Buy a Rocco or you're loco!

Now in late 2020 did I need a new razor? No. Absolutely no. But while I was on holidays I was browsing here to see if there was anything interesting on offer and the Muhle R94 Rocco caught my eye. I must admit I always wanted a stainless steel razor but they're not cheap and the last thing I wanted was a stainless Edwin Jagger DE89, which is a good razor but I like more aggressive heads, so I read as many forums as I could for a week and eventually pulled the trigger on the Muhle R94. Well I waited like an excited kid the day before his birthday and it came. Wow! I was blown away. This thing is a masterclass in razor engineering. The look, the feel, the quality, was top class. So what was it like in the bathroom? I popped in a Feather blade and played it cool and the shave was incredible, absolutely incredible. It felt like no other razor I ever used, it's super smooth and gave me an incredibly smooth shave in three passes. I must admit pass number three was really only touch-up. How could Muhle get it so right? Well they did and that's all that matters. This is a great razor no contest. Some rate it as in between a DE89 and an R41, I use an R41 regularly, it's super aggressive but not that smooth. The Rocco on the other hand was a shave like no other, it's super smooth, efficient and gobbles that stubble like a hungry hound! I can highly recommend this razor plus it's a great price too for a stainless. If you're on the fence about one all I can say is go for it, you won't be disappointed!
