There are better brushes - the look is nice though
I do have 3 Muhle Stylo series silvertip (top of this line) brushes and this one is one of them (came as part of a set I purchased). It is a nice looking, soft silvertip brush - sheds a little at the beginning and then settles. However, the problem is the knotting of the Stylo series brushes in general. Mine (and I observed the same in all 3 Stylo brushes) got loose from the base after couple of shavings and I had to screw the brush (silvertip part) to the base again. Muhle sells replacement brushes as long as you have the base (handle). But they built it such that it gets loose and you need to screw it tight back again. Muhle seems designed this to sell replacements ;) I bought other Muhle's from this site, and those Muhle's don't have replaceable heads - they are perfect - and you might want to opt the Stylo series brushes instead of other classic type Muhle brushes or other brand brushes as well. I do have 14 brushes all top of the line, including a custom Marfin, and learned one thing - if you do buy a shaving brush - pick a company which makes ONLY brushes and nothing else. Thater will be a better choice to Muhle brushes in my opinion. This is a nice looking brush and especially when it comes with a set. And I like it - but if you do not like soft brushes or don't like a loosing head, look for something else on this site - they have other beautiful brushes around the same price range.
