Feather Hi-Stainless DE Blades 100 Pack is a bulk supply of Feather’s double edge razor blades, made by the Feather Safety Razor Co of Japan and supplied here as ten packs of ten. The blades are platinum coated Hi-Stainless steel, and among wet shavers Feather has a long-standing reputation as one of the sharpest double edge blades on the market.

The company that became Feather was founded in Japan in 1932 as the Japan Safety Razor Company, later taking the Feather name it still trades under today. Over the following decades it grew into one of Japan’s leading blade manufacturers, building a reputation for precision blade-making that carries through to its double edge blades today.

This bulk pack suits shavers who get through blades quickly or prefer to stock up rather than reorder every few weeks. Feather’s sharpness is well regarded among experienced wet shavers, though newcomers to double edge shaving may want to build confidence with a gentler blade first, since Feather’s edge leaves little margin for error with blade angle and pressure.

Key Features

  • Platinum coated Hi-Stainless steel double edge blades
  • Bulk pack of 100 blades, supplied as ten packs of ten
  • Made in Japan by the Feather Safety Razor Co
  • Widely regarded among wet shavers as one of the sharpest DE blades available
  • Best suited to shavers already comfortable with blade angle and pressure

How to Use

Open one inner pack of ten and remove a single blade, handling it carefully as Feather blades are extremely sharp. Insert the blade into a double edge safety razor following the razor manufacturer’s instructions, then close and tighten the razor head. Rinse the blade after each shave and change it every few shaves, or sooner if it starts to pull or feels less sharp. Store unused packs in a dry place and dispose of used blades safely, ideally in a blade bank or bin.

    Best blade I have tried.

I started wet shaving two months ago, and I have tried different blades and the Feather is the best for me, sharp and comfortable.

    My go-to blade

I use only two types of blade and this is one of them (the other being Personna Med Prep). The Feather gives me a comfortable and close shave every time. I get 4 shaves per blade. YMMV as with everything else.

I am new to wet shaving and these are the razors I started with. They are a great blade when you get used to them. I still have to be careful but Feathers still give a clean smooth shave overall.

I have a fast growing course beard and these cut through it like a hot knife through butter. I also get 3 or four uses before i have to toss them so good value.

One of the best blades I've tried so far

Honestly I wouldn't be able to make a difference in terms of sharpness, softness etc. All I know is that I had 3 weeks of razor burn free and very close shaving with only one blade. I have a normal to coarse beard and a very sensitive skin.

    Ultra sharp

Sharpest blade I've tried by a mile - take care! I dock one star because I find they go blunt much more quickly than the Astra (I get only a couple of 3-pass shaves from a Feather but will get a week out of the Astra). That's the compromise I suppose.
