Feather Stainless Steel Razor ASD2

This razor is awesome. My skin is very sensitive and after shaving with this razor is nothing, no hurt, no fire. I can recommend everybody who is looking for best razor. And service is 5* also. Very kind, very helpful.

Having spent more time getting used to the AS-D2 since buying it last June, I am finding more & more it's my 'go-to' razor. Notwithstanding its being a mild razor, I get one of the best shaves with it; and I no longer have issues with the 'grippiness' referred to in my previous review. So, 5***** from me!

My best choice, will never use the other ones I have!

For me is the best Safety Razor. Great workmanship and very beautiful. Very gentle and smooth. However gives a great shave.

As someone who shaves daily I found the Feather ASD2 to give an excellent shave: mild, close & comfortable. I'm not normally a fan of Feather blades, but the combination of the two is really something. This morning,as an experiment, I tried combining the razor with the least expensive blade, pre-shave oil, shaving soap & brush I have (the sort that can be got from local chain-stores); the results were extremely passable - which says a lot for this razor. It is now one of my favourites in my collection (if not THE favourite). Why only 4 stars? Firstly, I don't find the handle quite as 'grippy' as some razors I own; secondly, it's very expensive compared to the other DE razors I have, some of which come very, very close in terms of performance. Bottom line: would I recommend the ASD2? Absolutely!! If you're a daily shaver, you probably won't find a better razor. Just close your eyes when handing over the cash! Last, but by no means least, my thanks to the boys at Shaving.ie for excellent packaging and an expedient delivery. This was my first purchase from this company and I am well impressed by the service. Thank you!

If you like a mild shaver with impeccable fit and finish, the Feather AS-D2 is a treasure to own. Of course, purchased from Chris here, with his superb service and excellent prices, makes the razor a gem to own.

Workmanship is flawless. Great looking razor. Some say it's too mild but I prefer a milder razor. However I notice that you need to increase your shaving angle with this razor to get BBS shaves. I also find this razor with a Feather blade gives a SMOOTH shave and I find that being that smooth makes it feel mild. Super happy with this razor

This razor is super smooth and mild yet provides very effective and close shave. If you gave up using other de safety razors because of irritations and such, you need to check out this pretty razor immediately. Any modern car gets you from A to B, but its much more pleasurable to do it in a Bentley. We all know that. So too with this Feather All Stainless razor. Its beautifully engineered, perfectly crafted, and (loaded with a Feather blade) it makes shaving a truly pleasurable experience. It's not an aggressive razor, despite the sharpness of the blade, and I love that I can "dial in" the smoothness with an extra pass (against the grain) for a baby's bum finish if desired. No nicks at all. Perfect. Yes it is overpriced compered with "average", but all luxury is. I never need buy another razor, in fact to do so would be unfaithful...I'm in love now.
