The Semogue 2000 has been hailed as one of the greatest boar shaving brushes in current production. Handmade in Portugal it is densely packed enabling copious amounts of lather to be made for multiple passes. Overall it is a very high quality brush.

Big and badgery

The title says it all, and if that's what you're after, then this is a good boar. I've a couple of Omegas and other Semogues, and Semogue do make nicer wooden handled brushes, the finish is better, but they do cost more.
I face lather, and the bloom and softness of this is a little big for me, but still useable. Bowl latherers will probably find it suits better. Semogue appears to be going for a luxury boar type product, which is softer and more badgery than your average boar.

Having bought my Semogue a couple of months ago I can say it is one of the best brushes I own. The 2000 is a nice addition to my collection and worth every cent.
