The Edwin Jagger Chatsworth Ebony is one of Edwin Jagger's most established razors, machined from solid brass and triple-plated with copper, nickel and blue-white chrome before the deep Ebony finish goes on. It carries the traditional curved handle shape the range is known for, and at 115g it's on the heavier side, which lets the weight of the razor do most of the work rather than requiring pressure from the shaver.
With a handle length of 77mm, the Chatsworth is easy to manoeuvre and offers plenty of control, which makes it a sensible choice for anyone moving to a safety razor for the first time as well as those with more experience. The closed comb head keeps things mild without sacrificing closeness.
Every Edwin Jagger razor is hand-assembled and quality checked in Sheffield before it ships, and this one takes any standard double edge blade, so replacements are easy to find.

style by a mile
Nicely weighted which I feel gives more control in producing a very pleasant shave. Looks really good too.

Elegant Design
Definitely more polished than the Merkur heads and less aggressive, giving a much more forgiving shave. Only drawback would be the handle’s grip, not so good when hands are wet. Other than that it is very sweet.
