State-of-the-art German platinum blades
After years of using "new generation" blades (i.e. the disposables) I shifted in the last year to old skool. I started with the default, Wilkinson Blade. But since discovering Merkur, the whole experience has changed. Blade sharpness is everything.

Great blades for a fast shave
Having sensitive skin, I prefer a mild blade and they don't come milder than this. I nick easy but these blades haven't nicked me once. While not as sharp as others, they're ideal for a shave when you're in a hurry. Only down side is they're pricier than most but still worth it.

Go slow, and you'll be very satisfied
The first time I used Merkur blades I nicked myself. I was worried the blades weren't of high quality, but it turns out I was going too fast. Installed a fresh blade this morning in my Muhle closed comb, took my time, and it resulted in a close, clean shave with no nicks. Just exhibit some patience, and you'll enjoy shaving with these Merkur blades.

Decent set of blades
I am very happy with these blades and I think I prefer them over the Derbys I received. They are working very well in my slant razor.
