Amazing DE razor
You cannot expect more from an open comb DE safety razor, simply the best in its kind.

Best Ever!
I purchased this razor with some trepidation, due to its reputation as "aggressive". I usually use an Edwin Jagger DE89, which I love. However, with this R41, I have had an extremely pleasant surprise. I have been able to shave with it no problem, without as much as a nick. That said, I have been quite careful with it. Apparently, in recent times Muhle issued a new subtly revised design that reduced the aggressiveness (without telling anyone and without any distinguishing markings) so one is never quite sure which R41 one is actually talking about, with very close inspection. The Rosegold handle looks great, although I'd love to have a Rosegold "Grande" if Muhle were ever to introduce such an option. Overall this new R41 is very pleasing and a great purchase.
