Saponificio Varesino Stella Alpina Aftershave is an Italian aftershave that sits halfway between an eau de toilette and a fluid cream, built around extract of edelweiss, the Alpine flower that gives the range its name. It comes in a 125ml aluminium bottle and is made as the partner to the Stella Alpina shaving soap.
The scent is fresh and aromatic. Lemon, bergamot and basil open it up brightly, then myrtle, eucalyptus and cistus bring a green, herbal heart before cypress and amber settle in underneath for a warmer, woodier finish.
Edelweiss leads the skin care side of the formula, with a supporting cast of soothing botanicals and vitamins. A small amount is enough for the whole face.
