Semogue 1470 Shaving Brush has a 21mm boar knot set in a darkened beech handle made in Portugal, and it's one of the most affordable Semogue brushes stocked here.
A narrow knot at a short loft makes for a firm, dense little brush. There is almost no splay when you press it into a soap, so it loads quickly and carries lather straight down into the beard.
Like every boar brush, it rewards regular use. The tips soften steadily over the following weeks and months while the backbone from the naturally stiff boar hair stays underneath, so the brush keeps its character even as it grows more comfortable.
The beech is stained rather than lacquered, so the handle has a matte, slightly open surface instead of the gloss of the painted models. Short and squat, it suits a pinch grip better than a full-hand hold.

great brush, a little small
Got this a while ago, semogue have a great name. Brush needs to be broken in when you get it but that's the same of any boar. I like it a lot, the only thing is the handle is a little small for my hand, end up with later on your fingers but a small negative. Good brush for the money.
