Semogue 610 Red is the red and clear version of Semogue's smallest bristle brush. Apart from the handle colour, it's the same 21mm knot as the black model.
Small knots suit face lathering. Less bristle means less water carried, so the lather comes out thicker and drier than a broad brush produces, and plenty of shavers prefer exactly that for a close pass.
This size sits in the middle of Semogue's boar line-up for feel as well as knot diameter, and it's the brush a lot of people settle on after trying a few sizes: enough give at the tips to be comfortable daily, enough structure underneath to keep working a hard soap once it's broken in.
Acrylic was chosen for durability rather than looks. It won't absorb water, so the finish stays put however often the brush is used, and it's the sensible thing to pack for a trip.
