Semogue 620 Boar Brush

Semogue 620 Boar Brush is a compact bristle brush with a 21mm knot in a glossy black acrylic handle, made in Portugal.

It's one of Semogue's scrubbiest boar knots, and also one of the most rewarding. The more it's used, the softer and richer the lather becomes, while the backbone that makes it such a good exfoliator never really goes away. Give it a proper few weeks and it turns into a brush worth keeping for years.

The IB in the grade means imitation badger. The filament is boar, and the dark band running through the knot mimics the look of badger hair.

A narrow knot concentrates pressure into a smaller area, which makes it easy to place lather precisely around a moustache or under the jawline. Because the handle is acrylic, it travels well and shrugs off being packed still damp.

How to Use

• Run the knot under warm water and let it stand while you shower
• Flick the excess water out before loading
• Swirl on the soap a little longer than you would with a bigger brush
• Lather on the face, using the smaller knot to work in around the nose and jaw
• Rinse until the water runs clear and dry bristles down
