Semogue 820 Red is the red and clear version of Semogue's mid-sized acrylic boar brush, identical to the black one apart from the handle colour.
Give it the usual boar break-in and it just keeps getting better. By around the twentieth shave the tips have softened enough that it feels like a different brush from the one that came out of the box, while staying every bit as capable on a hard soap.
A 22mm knot at this loft is versatile in a way narrower brushes are not. It carries enough lather for three passes, splays properly under pressure, and is equally at home in a bowl or on the face.
Acrylic handles suit a brush that gets used every day. Nothing about the finish changes with use, and it can be packed damp without coming to harm.
