Stirling I, Rich Moose Shaving Soap recreates a discontinued classic cologne, and Stirling's own line on it is that nothing replaces an original but the dry down here just about nails it. The opening is green and bracing, with bergamot, rosemary, lemon, orange and coriander.
Geranium, lavender, clove and cedar carry the middle, and the finish is mossy and warm on tonka bean and patchouli. It lands squarely in fougere territory, so if you like a soapy, herbal, old fashioned shave scent this one will feel familiar within seconds.
It is made on Stirling's tallow base in Ohio. The beef tallow and stearic acid do the work on lather density, castor oil helps with slickness, and lanolin, shea butter, coconut milk and sweet almond oil are there for the skin rather than the lather.

How to Use
- Soak the brush, then shake it out so it is damp rather than dripping.
