I think one of the best blades I wish I tried it before. Perfect balance sharp but smooth and forgiving. 5 star s.

    My go to blade

Posted by pob on 5th Jan 2017

Now on 2nd bulk pack. After trying different types (from the sample packs here), I narrowed it down to Feathers, 7 O'Clock Sharp & these. It was the Personna Platinum Chromes that were the best balance - sharp enough (Feathers - too sharp, unforgiving), smoothness (7 O'Clock - sharp, but caught the skin, slight irritation). I get 3/4 shaves per blade using a Jagger DE89. With any shaving product, it's down to personal taste & technique, having a good soap & brush helps too. 4 stars? always looking for better.

Perfectly average mild blades. Not the best, far from worst.

I am pleased with these blades. They get the job done with very little irritation and next to no chance of cuts if your technique and soap slickness are up to the task. Sharp enough to deal with my semi-thick whiskers without much pulling after multiple uses. I get about 4 uses out of each blade. I could go for 5, but at the cost per blade, I would rather just insert a fresh one. If you clean, dry, remove and store the blades after each use they will serve you well. The best part for me is the price-to-performance ratio. These blades are a great deal and compare favorably to more expensive brands. You could get better, but for me the price difference doesn't justify minor increase in performance. Buy with confidence.

My favorite blades! (out of maybe 12 that I tried)

    Posted by D on 16th Feb 2016

Out of all the blades that I have tried so far, this one is my favorite. It is not quite as sharp as the feather blade (which is good, because although feather blades can give very, very smooth shaves, they are unnecessarily excessively sharp IMO, making it very easy to get cuts or irritation compared to other blades), but it is very smooth. It seems to be a bit sharper than the blue personna blades and maybe also a little less forgiving, but for me this blade is the perfect balance between sharpness and smoothness. If you are new, these blades might be a bit rough since they are only forgiving with proper shaving technique (not going over same spot more than once, holding razor at correct angle, no pressure on face, knowing growth patterns on face, etc.)

    Super!

Very soft, gentle and rather durable edges. Me suffices on 4-5 times of comfortable shaving. But all this individually.

    Perfect for me

After trying a few different blades, I've found these Personnas to give me the best shave with my razor, hair and technique. These blades are very effective but won't burn, even if I shave in a hurry. The cut is very sharp, you can feel the blade simply slip through the hairs. When other blades may take me three shaves, these can make do with two or just one - and are the only ones I've gotten perfectly smooth results with. I use a DE89BA11 and cream lather.

    Very Forgiving Blade

Posted by Darren on 6th Dec 2013

When I first tried these blades the first thing I noticed was how incredibly smooth they are. They're also very forgiving, unless you mess up badly, the worst you can expect is some minor irritation. I find them to be quite mild and in my own experience they unperformed in a mild razor. However in a more aggressive razor like an open comb they can easily mow down a few days growth in 2 passes without any problem.
