Semogue 830 is a 22mm boar brush in a glossy red acrylic handle, and one of the most popular brushes Semogue makes.
Its bristle is graded Premium IB. IB is short for imitation badger and describes the finish rather than the animal: the knot is boar, banded with black so it looks like badger hair without the price that usually comes with it.
This is one of the quickest Semogue boars to settle in. The tips soften fast and the lather comes easily from both hard soaps and creams almost from the start, then just keeps improving the more it's used.
Acrylic is unaffected by water, so the handle can be used every day and the finish will not suffer for it.

How to Use
- Soak the knot in warm water for a few minutes before the first several uses
- Shake the brush out until it stops dripping
- Load from a hard soap for around thirty seconds, or a cream for less
- Build the lather on the face, adding water in stages until it thickens
- Rinse under running water and dry with the bristles pointing down

Excellent brush
Very soft tips after few shaves, ergonomic handle. It makes good lather quickly from hard soaps and creams. My favourite brush

Great face latherer
I love Semogue brushes. The handle, the loft and quality of the brushes are fantastic. The 830 is a nice stiff brush, yet quite soft and gentle on the face. It did not take long to break in and it produces buckets of lather with either soap or cream. It fits nicely in the hand and does not splay out once broken in, thus allowing for excellent face lathering abilities. Highly recommended.
