Semogue Torga C3 Extra Boar Shaving Brush is an Extra IB grade boar brush from Semogue's Classic Line, made in Portugal by a brush maker operating there since 1955. It carries a 21mm fan-shaped knot at a 52mm knot height in a glossy jet black resin handle with an aluminium ring, and it stands 101mm overall.
Extra IB is a boar grade in which IB stands for imitation badger. The bristle is boar, banded with a dark stripe so the knot carries the two tone look of badger hair. Once it has broken in over a few dozen shaves it develops plenty of backbone, good lather retention and a noticeable exfoliating feel against the skin. The Torga handle is shaped with a narrowed waist that keeps grip secure even when wet, and the resin carries Semogue's logo in silver on the side.
This Torga-C3 sits at the smaller end of Semogue's Classic Line knots, making it a compact option for anyone who prefers a tighter, more scrubby lather brush over a larger, softer one.

How to Use
- Soak the bristles in warm water for a few minutes before first use to soften them
- Load the brush by swirling it over shaving soap or cream
- Build lather either in a bowl or directly on the face using circular motions
- Rinse thoroughly after use and leave the brush to dry bristle-down
