Semogue SOC Mistura Ash Wood Shaving Brush is the pale-handled version of the Owners Club Mistura, a mixed badger and boar knot in turned ash.
The blend gives lather with more backbone than a pure badger brush while remaining softer against the skin than a pure boar knot. Boar contributes stiffness, badger contributes water retention and soft tips, and once broken in the knot reaches a point with real scrub and no scritch at all.
Ash is pale and straight-grained, finished natural and matte, so the figure varies across brushes and the handle keeps its colour rather than darkening the way cherry does.
It settles in quickly for a boar blend, and from the first few shaves onward it just keeps getting smoother.

How to Use
- Soak the bristles in warm water for a few minutes before first use
- Load the brush by swirling it over shaving soap or cream
- Build lather in a bowl or directly on the face
- Rinse thoroughly after use and dry with the bristles facing down
