Semogue SOC Mistura Cherry Wood Shaving Brush is a mixed badger and boar brush from the SOC-C5 range, with a 24mm Finest Mistura knot at a 53mm knot height in a turned cherry handle. Made in Portugal by Semogue, at work since 1955, it stands 112mm overall with an aluminium ring.
Mistura is Semogue's own term for a blended knot, and Finest is the quality grade applied to it. Mixing badger hair with boar bristle gives firmer scrub and better lather retention than an all-badger knot, while staying gentler against the face than Semogue's straight boar brushes. It is a genuine middle ground rather than a compromise, and it is the reason the Mistura brushes have their own following.
The handle is turned and sanded from a single piece of cherry, finished natural and matte, so the grain pattern varies slightly from brush to brush and will darken as the wood is handled over the years.

How to Use
- Soak the bristles in warm water for a few minutes before first use
- Load the brush by swirling it over shaving soap or cream
- Build lather in a bowl or directly on the face
- Rinse thoroughly after use and dry with the bristles facing down
